Our Campus

Harmony Union School District consists of 1 school campus with 2 schools covering grades TK-8th grade:

  • Harmony Elementary School grades: Transitional Kindergarten (TK), Kindergarten (K) & 1st Grade
  • Salmon Creek School - A Charter School grades: 2nd – 8th Grades

Harmony Union School District is located on a 56-acre campus just south the small town of Occidental, in western Sonoma County (Half-way between Occidental and Freestone).

Among our many amenities are an 8,000-volume library, located in the center of the main building. Other campus buildings include a gymnasium, a LEED - platinum certified environmental education center which adds a state-of-the-art cafeteria, business office, conference room, and assembly hall to the campus facilities.

Four distinct habitats co-exist on our campus: a year-round creek with waterfall and observation deck, a redwood forest with a nature trail, perennial wetlands, and grasslands. A large working garden, including a straw bale greenhouse and outdoor classroom which students helped construct, the garden contributes fresh produce and serves as a major component to the lunch program and to the District farm stand.

A modern building with large windows and a curved roof sits in front of a forest.
