The session begins with snack for all the kids, and then transitions to homework support for upper grades and play time for lower grades.  Games, art activities, and outdoor play are scheduled throughout the afternoon.  The Seedlings TK program is held in the "Buckeye" Transition Kindergarten Classroom.  The Sprouts TK-8 program is held in the Salmon Creek Falls building in the Cafeteria.  Pickup your child in either classroom according to the time (Seedlings pickup 12:45-3:05 in the Buckeye TKClassroom, Sprouts Pickup form 3:05 to 5:30 in the Cafeteria).  Children are not required to stay for the full duration of the aftercare session, but it is important for us to know when you expect to pickup your child so that we are able to match staffing levels to demand.

Fees for aftercare are determined based on Income guidelines:  Families eligible under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) guidelines will have fees covered by funding allocated through California's Expanded Learning Opportunities Grant. Families NOT eligible under the NSLP limits, Harmony has partnered with River to Coast Children's Services (RCCS). RCCS can provide subsidy funding support for families that earn more than the federal free/reduced lunch guidelines allow. Examples of the thresholds for FRP and RCCS eligibility are provided below. Please refer to the official websites of each program for specific details.

Federal Free Reduced Lunch Guidelines:  https://www.fns.usda.gov/cn/fr-022024

Example Income ThresholdsHousehold Size                              3 Persons
 Annual Income Cap (NSLP/ELOP) $47,767
Annual Income Cap (RCCS)          $89,664

Household Size                              4 Persons
 Annual Income Cap (NSLP/ELOP) $57,720
Annual Income Cap (RCCS)          $104,544

Be advised that any family seeing subsidy must fill out and submit the NSLP income verification document to the school (it is part of the "back to school packet" documents sent to families).

For families ineligible for both programs, the rate for each day of service is $15 per day.
The registration form below allows you to request days of enrollment.  Due to staff capacity, we may reach a limit for some days, registering early increases the likelihood of securing a space.  Families eligible for NSLP/ELOP funding will have top priority for enrollment, followed by families who book for the full week.  Thursdays are generally overbooked.  If you only need one day a week, Thursdays are challenging to accommodate.  We do have increased capacity from last year, but it may not be enough to cover all needs.

We will be using the Smartcare mobile app to manage enrollment and fees.  Information for the Smartcare app will be provided upon confirmation of space availability and enrollment of your child.

Contact aftercare@harmonyusd.org for further inquiries on the aftercare program.
